KVKK

Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 6698). The main data protection regulation in Türkiye.

GDPR

General Data Protection Regulation. The EU's data protection regulation, in force since 2018.

CCPA / CPRA

California Consumer Privacy Act and its successor, the California Privacy Rights Act.

ePrivacy Directive

The EU's specific directive on electronic communications and cookies (Cookie Law).

CMP

Consent Management Platform. Software that collects and manages cookie consent.

DPA

Data Processing Agreement. The contract between the data controller and the data processor.

VERBİS

Turkish data controllers' registry. Mandatory registration under KVKK.

Explicit consent

Consent that is informed, freely given and specific to a defined purpose.

Consent Mode v2

Google's API that lets Ads/Analytics scripts adapt their behavior based on user consent.

GPC

Global Privacy Control. A standard that lets the browser send a 'do not sell' signal to websites.

Audit log

An immutable record of every consent event with who/when/how information.

Auto-blocking

Automatic blocking of third-party scripts before consent is given.
